A new community group in Garston, Garston Futures has been set up.

With the support of the Theatres Trust, they have completed a listing application for the Garston Empire Theatre as one of the few remaining hybrid cinema/theatres (READ draft Statement of Architectural Significance ).  A bid is to be submitted shortly.

They are also involved in seeking to save the Jack Jones mural on York St, the street where he was born.
